Information provided by you during life coaching will not be divulged to third parties except under certain conditions (see Exceptions to confidentiality).
Exceptions to confidentiality
There are circumstances in which I cannot legally or ethically maintain confidentiality. These exceptions are listed below. Wherever possible, I will make every attempt to communicate with you first explaining the reasons for the need to pass on information and to whom this will be given.
If you disclose that:
- you are intending to harm or have harmed yourself or another person
- you are involved in criminal activity (other than drug-money laundering or terrorism)
- a child is being abused or at risk of abuse
Then I will discuss the matter with my supervisor (your identity will be protected) and agree a course of action.
Where you disclose anything related to drug-money laundering or terrorism, however, I have a legal obligation to report this immediately to the police.
